Reproducing symbols and visions and crossing artistic disciplines are rites executed in Boom by hundreds of artists from all around the world.
The first Dada manifesto, published in 1918 claimed that Dadaism was a ‘new reality’. Their aim was to shake society expressed in a new awareness of the role of the unconscious in everyday life.
Almost a century forward and the power of art is again essential to a new awareness. Boom is moved by such a need, creating a huge art platform of its own making. Every year we gather together people from paint, multimedia, sculpture, land art, installations, decorations, or graffiti artists in order to build all art works on location. All is made from scratch in a liberating approach to art.
This emphasis on crosspollination recovers the significance of art’s symbolic, spiritual and emotional meaning - some of the main characteristics of a new role for art in society, something that we strive for in Boom.
