Boom 2008 Design
A new edition means a new inspiration. In 2008 we came up with the Mexican art as an influence.
Every year Boom tries to innovate conceptually. We face entertainment as a mean of evolutionary solutions and all our projects are based on the assumption that for evolving one needs to be detached somehow. Visual communication is one of the items we always recreate ourselves. On each edition we move forward so that we can widen horizons and get new inspirations.
In 2006 we were inspired by the Aboriginal art forms. For this year our main influence were the Alebrijas, the wood carvings that are an ancestral tradition from the Zapotec Indians of Oaxaca, Mexico.
Besides that we were moved by the need of redesigning our logo. Boom and its designer team started a journey throughout its symbolic imaginary and the final outcome was a revolutionary organic logo, an expression of the cultural melting pot that characterizes Boom.
