Boom TV - Your Oil is Music
One of the sustainability innovations for 2008 is that generators using recycled veggie oil will power the Flea Market Area. In order to supply all the generators, Boom is developing a communitarian project in the Idanha-a-Nova region called "Your Oil Is Music". It consists in collecting the vegetable used oil that is being used in the cities and villages around Boom venue. We’ll recycle the oil in about 6,000 houses covering a population of 12,000 people. One liter of oil pollutes one million liters of water.

A videocast from the crew Laborg from Brazil that are presenting a show in Boom 2008.
The Laborg collective has been making studies on multimedia immersive experiences since 2005.
Using mostly anlog techniques it has outgrown for the mere search for mesmerizing images to the actual relation of this images to the public. A collective of artists arising from different media platforms. Laborg focus its work on the search for multisensorial perceptive integration.
The video projection of the dynamics of household substances,like cooking oil,pigments and plain water brings the serenity and complexity imersed in the micro cosmos tiny details.

Boom TV - Coming to Boom by Bike
Joost and Stan are two environmental activists. They are also Boom friends and they decided to come from their home country, Belgium, by bike with the intention of increasing the awareness for the Mother Earth.
