The concept
With the political, social, economical and environmental changes transforming the world, entertainment can pioneer a new consciousness. Using art as a means to connect people from different backgrounds, the Boom Festival is one of the most genuine festivals in the world.
The Boom Book is a fascinating and cutting-edge piece about a festival that started in 1997 with a handful of enthusiasts in Portugal and grew into a unique gathering of people from all over the planet Earth.
This book is a collaborative project made by anthropologists, journalists, designers, illustrators, poets, musicologists, and photographers to capture the essence of the Boom Festival and how it has been exploring in-depth the emergence of new paradigms.
The Boom Book includes essays, interviews, visionary art by Alex Grey, Robert Venosa or Android. It portrays the hidden dimensions of this unique festival that is affecting positively the way people face human gatherings.
The Boom Book is a cultural record of striking importance, capturing the beauty of a festival and also the role of subcultures in modern society.
