Survival Guide - The infra-structure
Boom has different facilities and joyful areas where the festival participants live, rest, meet up and party. The access to most of them is totally free.
Potable Water
Boom provides potable water for the participants from the public water services from Idanha-a-Nova.
Baby Boom
A special designed zone built for kids with specialized caretakers. Educators and monitors, shows and a playground, the Baby Boom is made for parents who want to leave their child in good hands.
Camping
The camping area is free. The camping areas of Boom are huge. Please respect the few no camping signs! For reasons of fire safety inflammable components are totally banned.
Composting toilets
Your humanoid “donation” falls into composting containers where a biological process solves what would be a problem for the environment. From Earth to earth!
Biological treatment of waste waters
Water, after use in the showers and sinks passes through a series of wet garden beds where it is allowed to evaporate while the roots of aquatic plants clean the water
Parking
The parking (cars and caravans) will have a bigger space and is free of charge as usual. Toilets and showers will be located all over the parking area. Please bring your bicycle as the car park is somewhat away from the main action.
Restaurants
At the restaurants you can have food from all over the world -
all types of meals will be available. There will be a communal area for people to eat and drink while listening to concerts...
Cyber Café
This is an open air cyber café with free wireless: you can be in Boom and in cyberspace at the same time!
Flea Market
Stalls from all over the world, handicraft, and beautifully designed pieces - the Flea Market area is always a must go in Boom!
Paramedics
Paramedics are easy to recognise in their blue vests and they are responsible , amongst other things, to approach and take action on people who require first-aid treatments.
Health Services
The health and fire departments have their own staff present at the health services during the days of the festival.
Kosmicare
The Kosmicare Sancturay is an intimate environment. Here specialized aid in accord with humanistic therapies is provided for those in intense experiences.

The best sound system in the waterfront! Specially designed for you to listen to cutting-edge music.
Sacred Fire
The world music stage is the place where music traditions celebrate the Boom experience.
Ambient Forest
Installations and music, décor and performative arts – the Ambient Forest are a freestyle ambient music orientated hub.
Theatroom
A stage where you can see shows based on performative arts, theatre and a special emphasis on avant-garde projects.
Metacine
In this cinema we will showcase the activism that is being developed in the 7th art.
Liminal Village
Boom cultural hub. Visionary culture being showcased by presentations, lectures, workshops and art works.
Healing Area
This is a new area solely devoted to healing where many tools are
available to assist in gaining balance and harmony within the self and to inspire a more natural way of life.
Security
The security section of Boom is centralized at the security office which functions as the hub to solve problems across the venue.
