At Boom we reuse and recycle as much as possible to avoid overconsumption of resources.

It has been a part of both our production and construction planning to reuse materials. In the last two editions though we invested more and more on reusing and recycling materials, decorations, equipments and all other infrastructures.

In 2008 Boom established a protocol with two events, Festival Rock in Rio Lisboa and Festival Internacional de Banda Desenhada da Amadora (International Comic Book Fair of Amadora). The output was that many materials we used at Boom came from events and we avoid overpressure on resources.

For 2010 we are keeping the same projects. Plus, we are maximizing all our materials stored in the warehouse. Big structures are thought as reusing materials, such as lycra, bamboo, wood, paints, carpets or fabrics.

The new architecture projects we are commissioning from the scratch are evaluated on its sustainability standards to assure future reusing and functions.
