Less carbon footprint than by car, easy, and comfortable: It’s the Boom Bus, the round-trip into and out of the Boom 2010.
The Boom Bus is a charter bus service for a safer and more comfortable Boom experience. In 2008 most people had a smooth journey and this year we are improving the Boom Bus service even more.
As a way of motivating the use of public transport for less carbon emissions all Boom Bus users will have access to Boom before the general public. We want less private vehicles, less carbon into the atmosphere and much more moments of close companionship between Boomers. Boom Bus is also a way of people avoiding potencial problems due to overtraffic at the entrances.
Boom Bus will get into the Boom venue one day before the official opening of the gates: you can choose the best place to camp and have some relaxing moments around the lake, watching the sculptural and unspoilt landscape of Portugal’s inland.
Boom Bus tickets will only be sold online and you can purchase them together with the festival ticket. So, if you want to travel with our service, you need to buy the ticket from our website, together with the festival ticket. Keep in mind tickets for the Boom Bus will not be sold at ambassadors, airports or tour operators.
BOOM BUS RESERVATION – Exclusively for people who bought the Boom Festival Ticket through a Boom Ambassador.
If you purchase your Boom Festival ticket at your local Boom Ambassador and you also require a Boom Bus ticket, you need to book your place with the Ambassador. Please tell the Ambassador which Boom Bus route you want to take and provide him with your personal details and Boom ticket serial number. You will pay for the Boom Bus service upon arrival at the airport (at the Boom Bus stand) and prices are the same as online.
If you don’t make your reservation, you won’t be able to take the bus. Please be sure you provide the correct information, to avoid misunderstandings.
For more information, please contact us or your local ambassador.
Bus ticket prices will remain the same during all the sales period (30th November until 26th June), but don’t forget the price of festival tickets increases as time goes by.
When looking at our timetables please bear in mind that buses will be running during the whole day and that departure and arrival times are approximate but not exact. When planning your trip please allow for some extra time for connecting flights, etc.
Boom Buses will be leaving from the following locations:
