WHERE IS THE UTOPIA AFTER-BOOM
Taking place in a stunning new green shaded location, Utopia is just a 30-minute drive from the Boom Land. Close to Benquerenҫa, the new venue is more spacious and is much closer to the Boom land than in 2010. Green glades surround a beautiful, pristine river with beach to chill and unwind after the intensity of the Boom. GPS co-ordinates: 40°13’43.82” N, 7°13’15.47” W
HOW TO GET THERE
Utopia can be reached by the Boom Bus, by vehicle or via the lift-sharing service.
BOOM BUS
The Boom Bus is a charter bus service for a safer, more comfortable and sustainable experience. Part of the environmental program, the Boom Bus public transport results in a reduction of CO2 emissions.
Travelling to Utopia by Boom Bus is an optional extra when purchasing online Boom Bus tickets for the Boom Festival from Lisbon or Madrid. Alternately Boom Bus tickets for Utopia only can be purchased from the Boom Festival Information Stand within the festival.
Please Note: Online Boom Bus ticket sales end on 3 July. After this date you will be required to purchase the tickets on site from the Boom Festival Information Stand.
Utilization of the Boom Bus services are strongly encouraged and has the added benefit of arriving at the Boom Festival one day before the general public in order to secure a good camping spot.
BY VEHICLE
- When departing Boom please take an immediate left toward Idanha-A-Velha on N332.
- Take a right on N333 towards Meimoa.
- Go through the town of Meimoa.
- Turn Left toward Benquerenҫa
- Follow the signs to the heart of Utopia
LIFT SHARE SERVICE
Sharing a lift to Utopia is not only a fun adventure, but an environmentally and economically sustainable way to travel. By partaking in this service, you are significantly reducing the level of CO2 emissions generated by all the vehicles travelling to the festival.
Thousands of Boomers from all over the globe will be looking for ways to travel to Utopia. This is a positive way of connecting with like-minded Boomers whilst causing a minimal impact on the environment.
