The Alchemy Circle embodies the concept of the evolutionary program that Boom represents. We’ve spent many months carefully constructing a new concept that aims to bring you an immersive experience: a beautifully designed piece of architecture (the palette design of the Groovy Beach in 2010 was epic!), colourful art and decoration, innovative music and a fusion of performance arts.
The circle itself is the foundation of the alchemy. In order to begin an alchemical transmutation, a symbol called a Transmutation Circle is necessary. For instance, it went to the common sense the idea of “Squaring the Circle”, an alchemical glyph of the creation of the Philosopher’s Stone, a quest for the interaction between the macroscosmos and the microcosmos. The circle itself is a conduit which dictates the flow of creation, tapping into the energies that already exist within the earth and matter. It represents the cyclical flow of the world’s phenomena.
We are absorbing the alchemic circles into a sonic experience, for the Alchemic Circle. It is the next level from the Groovy Beach and Sacred Fire music stages. Here we also unite this creative evolution of music with performance art as we embark upon a fresh new adventure that expands the boundaries of post-post modern culture, reactivating the creative flow of Boom’s sonic-stimulated areas.
Promising a multi-sensory experience that journeys through innovative territories within the realms of art and music, expect a Boom-bastic experience of mind-blowing proportions!

The area has also been designed to compliment the dynamics of the Dance Temple as it will host a number of sub-genres of psychedelic music that don’t quite fit in with the four-to-floor approach of it.
So, from cosmic, psybreaks and psydub to progressive trance, techno-psy-zenon-influenced, trancestep, psystep and neo-trance – it’s all happening at the Alchemy Circle.
Expect no headliners! Boom is an ego-free festival and refuses to feed the notion of the VIP superstar. Rather, it is a communal encounter based on the collective experience of musicians, artists and of course, the Boomers.
Which means: Bring Your Music! There are free slots for those that come to the Boom and who want to share their music with the Boomers!
