Boom is known as a Festival with a strong focus on art and creativity, and this year the restaurants area is also embedded within the arts program, in the newly re-designed Central Plaza.
This is one of the main meeting points of the Boom, encompassing the Restaurants Area, Info Stand and the new CENTRAL PLAZA STAGE where you can sit back surrounded by beautiful tall trees and carefully crafted land art. Here you can watch amazing Live Art Performances from all over the world and Open Sessions fully dedicated to the Boomers, who now have the chance to share poetry, narrative, information and personal views.
Step out from the campsite and make yourself at home in the dining and living room of the Boom!

OPEN STAGE NIGHT
The stage is yours for 10 minutes, to host your skills and creativity: performance, dance, acrobatics, juggling, games, music, you name it!
When you register at the Info Stand upon arrival at the festival, you can also bring a CD or pen drive featuring background music if you need it. One microphone is available, as well as a simple light set up.
Please also note: this is not a space for DJs.
NANO STORIES
An account or recital of an event or a series of events, either true or fictitious.
Everyone has a story to tell, a message to spread; whether it is uplifting, inspiring or bizarre.
Come on stage (for ten minutes) to tell about an event, or a series of events that occurred to you or that you just invented!
This is a participatory event where the audience is free to affect the path of the session. The audience is the performer and the performer is the audience.
Overcome your fears, you are among friends! Express yourself, lose yourself, be yourself!

INFORMATION JAM SESSION
An interactive exchange of information and an opportunity to raise matters that are important to you. Feel free to communicate your thoughts on anything that impacts you or the wider world. Ideas, innovations, projects, your perspective, your view, your thoughts – get up, stand up, bring your voice, trigger the jam of the information exchange.
The session is divided in 2 parts:
Activism and the World
An interactive exchange of information that revolves around social, political, economic, environmental issues as well as social projects and activism taking place on a global scale.
Socio-Cultural Perspectives on Boom
Create a room for dialogue and collaborative reflection about topics the participants want to explore concerning the Boom Festival and it’s impact on personal, social and cultural levels.
WRITING WORKSHOP
Learning the formula behind writing both story and script. Workshop followed by a reading and sharing session of the works created.
