This is the heartbeat of the Boom! The Dance Temple is a futuristic portal to tribalism and dance, uniting us with the universal spirit of psychedelic trance.
To connect us with the transformative meaning of 2012, we are inviting the finest DJs, live acts and tribal bands to play longer sets for a deeper trance experience – abolishing in the process, the notion of quantity over quality so present in many of today’s parties and festivals.
DJ sets at Boom 2012 are typically continuing for 2H30 and 3H, and live acts up to 1H30.
The Dance Temple is a vivid being of trance and psychedelic culture. Musically, this culture has been present in almost all genres of music, from rock to jazz, from electronica to kraut rock, it has been proposing non-orthodox approach to composition, production and sound design. At Boom we have always been pursuing the “think outside the box” approach, psy-trance to keep evolving must be a culture of experimentalism and innovation, a perception to manifest enlightenment, connectedness and access the universal truth.
Boom Festival is not a dance floor experience only, it is a multi-sensory experience to channel in the cosmic truth.
As usual at Boom Festival, we put in the Dance Temple an understanding of dimensions experienced through the sounds of psy, dark, twilight, forest, tribal, prog, full-on, groovy full-on, Goa and nu-Goa.
We are also focusing on a better understanding of the flow of the days. Each day will have a theme based on the stages of alchemic transformation, a basis for a spiritual technology to make the golden moment of experiencing the Dance Temple permanent in a state of consciousness.
Each music day the Dance Temple starts with a motivation mantra by an healer. At the end of each day, late afternoon, a dedication mantra will resonate to send out to all sensient beings and to the Boomers the energy created at the Dance Temple.
Taking that into account we are inviting artists, architects, designers, decorators and a handful of creative visionaries to help us craft a temple that will remain in our hearts. The Dance Temple is a womb that awakens the human spirit through art. The vibrance of colors, holographic images and lasers within it reflect how we channel the universal meaning of trance.

Boom is not driven by the idea of a so-called “star-system.” On the contrary, it diverts from the realm of egotism, exerting homage to the collaborative experience of musicians, DJs, VJs, decorators, designers and most importantly, the public – each channeling a creative force and energy for collective transcendence.
The Dance Temple telepathically communicates with Boom’s newest addition, the Alchemy Circle… If you feel the need to see how psychedelic music has been expressed in terms of aesthetics that are in the brotherhood of psy-trance, you can dance to artists that are bridging the influences of psytrance with mutant sounds on another dance floor such as psybreaks, psy progressive trance, psy bass music, transtep, suomi trance and other approaches to the fusionist philosophy of sound.
