ABHYANGA

Abhyanga is the name given to the therapeutic ayurvedic massage. It is a gentle but firm whole body massage from head to toe using warm medicated oils.

The massage involves liberally covering the client in oil and then using smooth, gentle movements to rub the oil deeply into the body. According to the principles of ayurveda, everyone has a specific body type known as dosha. There are three doshas: pitta, kapha and vata, and everyone has a specific balance of doshas. In the in abhyanga massage, your dosha determines what kind of oil should be used, and what sort of ingredients should be added.
Traditionally, abhyanga massage is performed in the morning, to clarify the mind and stimulate the client for the day.

Benefits of this type of massage include:

Increased circulation, especially to nerve endings, toning of the muscles and the whole physiology, calming for the nerves, lubrication of the joints, increased mental alertness, improved elimination of impurities from the body, softer and smoother skin, increased levels of stamina through the day and better, deeper sleep at night.

ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is part of a medical system that originated in China and has been practiced in different ways for over two thousand years. During treatment fine needles are inserted into the skin and gently manipulated in order to enhance and balance the flow of Qi (pronounced ‘chee’), or vitality of the body. This system of medicine derives its principles from early Chinese interpretations of nature and the cycle of seasons. Traditional acupuncture is holistic in that it seeks to understand and treat patterns of weakness that lie behind our physical symptoms, and to counsel a patient in health in relation to their life-style and environment. Though acupuncture can be effective with specific conditions, the treatment focuses on the person rather than the illness and works towards a restoration of health and wellbeing. Acupuncture helps to reinstate our own innate healing capabilities that often become exhausted. In addition, acupuncture is used as preventative medicine to promote good health, which is more than just an absence of disease.

AYURVEDIC YOGA MASSAGE

Ayurveda provides both curative and preventive measures towards optimal physical, mental and spiritual well being. The word “Ayurveda” is from the ancient Indian language, Sanskrit, and literally means “Knowledge of Life”. Inherent in Ayurvedic principles is the concept that you are capable of taking charge of your own life and healing. More than simply medical care, Ayurveda offers a philosophy whereby one may prevent unnecessary suffering and live a long, healthy life. Known as the mother of all medical systems. Originally from India, Ayurveda is currently experiencing world-wide popularity as a revival sweeps in all continents. Ayurveda employs the judicious application of nutritional guidance, herbal medicines, exercise therapy, transcendental meditation and many special rejuvenation and purification therapies. Preferring to focus on the type of person who has the disease, rather than just understanding the type of disease the person has, Ayurveda is a patient-orientated system of healing.

Ayurvedic Yoga massage uses the ayurvedic principles and oils. Attention is placed where the body needs it most, through deep strokes and gentle stretches, leaving you with a lighter feeling physically and mentally.

BIO-DYNAMIC MASSAGE

This massage was created by the psychologist and physiotherapist Gerda Boyesen and is considered a psycho physical therapy. Through different massage techniques, physical and emotional tensions are released, unblocking the breathing and consequently the energy flow through the whole body. The therapist works with relaxation massage techniques (Bio-release) and other more specific techniques for different body tissues (skin, muscles, periosteum..). One of the innovative resources of the Bio-Dynamic Massage is the work done with psicoperistalsism that allows for a guidance throughout the session, responding to intestinal sounds, received through a stethoscope that is placed on the abdomen.

BODY WORK MASSAGE

This session offers the release of tension, pain and discomfort, by the combination of diverse bodywork techniques that are applied with a deep, embracing and gentle touch. Body oils are almost absent, in order to allow the touch to reach deep into de body, without just sliding over the skin. The result is a profound relaxation, both physical and mental, and the activation of the
self-healing mechanisms that will balance the body functions and its energetic system.

BOWEN THERAPY

The Bowen therapy is a dynamic series of gentle and relaxing moves over muscles and tendons which empowers the body’s own healing resources to achieve balance and harmony and results in fast and lasting relief from pain and discomfort. It is painless, non-invasive and suitable for all, from the newborn to the elderly and infirm. The Bowen Therapy enables the body to re-balance and restore. It Improves circulation, lymphatic and venous drainage, the assimilation of nutrients and elimination of toxins, joint mobility, and posture.

Conditions that have responded positively include:

• Sports and accident injuries (chronic and acute)
• Neck and shoulder problems, including frozen shoulder, migraine, and whiplash
• Back pain and sciatica
• Knee, ankle and foot problems
• Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis
• Organic complaints: Respiratory, digestive, menstrual, hormonal etc
• Βedwetting and other childhood disorders
• RSI, carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow
• Stress disorders
• Musculo-skeletal pain and imbalance
• Pregnancy Discomforts

The technique produces maximum results with minimum intervention.

BREUSS MASSAGE

Breuss Massage is a very gentle spinal massage that safely stretches, nourishes, aligns, energizes and heals the back. The spine is like any other living organism, it is in a constant state of ‘stress and relief’, needs nourishment and rest but also the right amount of ‘stress’ in the form of active movements to maintain its strength and function. During the day the spine and especially the ‘discs’ are stressed and they need to fulfill their duty as shock absorbers whenever we stand, walk or sit. Because of that the discs are squeezed, some of the liquid within gets out and the discs gets thinner. We are actually a little shorter in the evening compared to the morning after standing up! During sleep the spine relaxes and stretches out and the discs can somewhat regenerate by ‘sucking in’ the liquid they lost during the day, almost like a dry sponge placed in water. This mechanism is altered in a negative way when our metabolism is not in a balance or impaired for many different reasons. In a sense, the Breuss Massage is actively replacing a whole and healthy full night’s sleep by stretching the spine and using natural oils. In this process the discs are nourished like the sponge given water. In this relaxed state the spine can be safely re-aligned. Healing techniques further help in the regeneration process and balance the spinal energies so blockages in the physical as well as in the psychical and spiritual Levels are resolved.

CALIFORNIAN MASSAGE

The Californian massage is particularly relaxing, soothing and more superficial on the touch if we compare to other massage methods. It is very effective as it simply respects the trajectory of our body’s meridians and reflex zones. This massage uses long, slow and fluid movements which allow a deep physical and psychical relaxation.
Mental tension gives up and relaxation takes all its sense thanks to slow and ample movements and the sequence of effleurage, petrisage and linking movements, which link up all the body parts among themselves. Through these movements, all the massage’s maneuvers interconnect and intensify in order to relieve the deepest tensions, this could release hidden emotions inscribed in the body’s memory, and at the same time allow to get rid of those ubiquitous unnecessary emotions.
The more the person getting the massage lets go through the experience, the more she or he opens up to what in Californian massage is called “the touch of the heart”, perhaps a great way to start opening the heart and embracing love as a universal key that opens and transforms all.

The benefits of this massage include:

• Relaxation and deep soothing
• Elimination of muscle stress.
• Oxygenation of the tissues.
• Softening of joints.
• Improving health.

CRANIO SACRAL THERAPY

Cranio Sacral Therapy is based on the three osteopathic principles described by Andrew Taylor Still: Unity and Selfcurity ability of the body, and Reciprocity between Structure and Function.

It is a very subtle manual technique used to improve health and body functions. It detects and corrects motor, sensitive and neurological dysfunctions that are creating an unbalanced CranioSacral System.

The recently accepted Tensegrity Model as Human Body Model presents the body as a three-dimensional structure expanding from cellular to extracellular level. Our body was seen as a system of pulleys, axes and handles, but this is not happening anymore. Nowadays we consider that every part of physical body, mind, soul and emotions are interconnected and interacting.

This gives even more importance to treating CranioSacral and Fascial Systems.
CranioSacral System maintains physiological ambience for Brain and Nervous System, and Fascial System, a unique structure of anatomical continuity along the body, contributes to body biomechanical behaviour.

CRYSTAL THERAPY

The energy properties of crystals and minerals have been used for healing, divination, energy enhancement and spiritual development since ancient times. Each mineral, crystal or rock has a specific chemical composition, physical structure and physical properties and each has specific energy vibration frequencies and properties. These can be accessed and channeled for healing and the great advantage of such vibration medicine is that there are none of the side effects that can result from physically applying substances internally or externally.
Vibration, or energy medicine, directly infuses the cells with the energy they need without using an artificial substance, or traumatizing the adjacent cell structures. If you can get enough of the right kind of energy to the cells they will repair themselves, with no side effects. The amount of time it takes is in direct proportion to the degree of the problem of the illness and the intensity and amount of bioenergy given. Crystalotherapy is a strong vehice of energetic healing.

DEEP TISSUE

A deep tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia.
Deep-Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia. Also helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. It usually focuses on more specific areas and may cause some soreness during or right after the massage. You should feel better than ever within a day or two. A deep-tissue massage helps loosen muscle tissues, release toxins from muscles and get blood and oxygen circulating properly. It’s important to drink plenty of water after a deep-tissue session to help eliminate these toxins from the body. It is both corrective and therapeutic.

Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity and patients who have sustained physical injury.

It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders.

EGYPTIAN ESSENIAN THERAPY

From Egyptians to Essenes to… present times

Egyptian Essenian therapy is a mix between energy techniques and massage. This approach allows for the receiver to balance all the energy bodies (etheric, emotional, mental), and all that makes up the being.

Egyptian Essenian therapy care began in ancient times and went through a period of great splendor and development under the dynasties of Amecophis III, Akhenaton’s father.
The Essenian community was the heir and custodian of this knowledge. It systematically developed the therapeutic use of light, sound and oils.
The early Christians took up these practices handed down to them through the teachings of Jesus, his disciples and learned men and especially Mary Magdalen for the use of oils.
At that time, the physical body was seen as the final stage of the process of densification of the various subtle bodies. The human being, made up of a body, a soul and a spirit was considered as an entity of a sacred nature.

It was believed that a good health was the natural condition and the result of a harmonious flow of subtle energy bodies.

Disharmony of this flow would lead to imbalance and a broken communication between different parts of the being, causing, in the long term, organ failure and disease.

A basic principle for Ancient Egyptians was a return to the wholeness of the being that could then recover all his inner resources needed for the healing to happen.

ENERGETIC HEALING – INFINITE LOVE

This is a session that heals the being.
It has been known to perform miracles like healing psychological, physical, mental and emotional illnesses.
A complete healing where by receiving these new frequencies of supreme intelligence, you are offered a unique experience in which these frequencies of light, peace and love interact with your being.
The therapist gives you messages from the celestial kingdoms, from your angels, archangels, and will be connected to other dimensions of supreme intelligence leaving you with a sense of tranquility, wellness and full of energy. The results depend on what each person needs, so each session is unique.

ESALEN MASSAGE

Quality of touch is key. The hands are soft and strong to both talk and equally listen to the body of the receiver. The strokes are long, sweeping and very slowed down. Conscious use of gravity is directed to penetrate most deeply to melt the stiff places. There is wave after wave of expansion and letting go into deep peace. Even when the body is lifted off the table the feeling of being supported remains. The muscles and bones find a new balance and feedback this information to the brain, which then re-feeds back to the body long after the massage has finished, reminding the receiver of their natural length and openness, with themselves and with life.

Esalen massage is a seamless and flowing dance full of surprises, so the receiver’s mind gives up thinking ahead and just remains in the breathing moment. Every angle is explored at some point to remind the body of its fullest dimensionality. Deep penetration, dynamic stretches, rhythmic rocking, pulsing, cradling, and lifting are all included. It is a healing journey, and the return is always to the long re-connecting stroke followed by deeply supported stillness; what is separated and liberated is always integrated to give the receiver the deepest sense of coming home.

HATMARA-MERKAVA

Hatmara-Merkava deals with all levels of life. It is a cosmic consciousness movement accessible to all, through which positive changes in our lives can be made.

It is based on making a transformation of awareness and state of mind by connecting to the inner guide; by using cosmic law, to transform patterns of unhappiness in life, e.g. sickness of all kinds, emotional and mental obstacles, fears, traumas, negative state of mind, anger, hatred, relationships, etc. The method provides tools and a practical way to transform the “un-happy energy” into “energy of life”. This method helps to contact your inner self, to find awareness of and to transform the fears and blockages that prevent living a joyful and fulfilling life. The Hatmara enables self-realization, self-healing and transformation of negative influences. Hatmara in its essence is an outlook, a movement of cosmic consciousness and a life philosophy for changing consciousness systems and also the way of cosmic/world orders.
Hatmara Merkava therapy uses sound vibrations and sacred words to transform the energy in the physical and energetic body.

HOT STONE MASSAGE

Hot Stone Massage is a relaxing therapeutic massage. For hundreds of years, hot stone massage has been used by many different cultures and modern-day therapists apply the same techniques for a wonderfully relaxing massage designed to work on muscle tension at the deepest level.
During the hot stone massage treatment, smooth, basaltic (volcanic) rocks that have been heated in water are used in two ways; some stones are wrapped in towels and placed on specific energy centres, known as chakras, along the body to align and re-balance the body’s natural energy flow, whilst other stones are used by the therapist to perform the body massage.
The heat of the stones penetrates deep into the muscle tissue allowing the muscles to relax 4-5 times quicker than in a standard body massage, easing muscle tension and revitalizing the muscle tissue by increasing blood circulation.
The deep relaxation and increased blood flow to the areas being worked not only accelerates any healing processes but also creates a state of deep mental relaxation.
The benefits of hot stone massage include improved circulation, increased lymphatic drainage, improved blood flow to tissues, reduces muscular tension, relieves aches and pains, reduces stress and anxiety and produces a deep relaxation. A hot stone massage has a very detoxifying effect on the body and you can encourage this by drinking plenty of water and avoiding caffeine, nicotine and alcohol for the next 24 hours. Also try to avoid any strenuous exercise for 24 hours following treatment and try to rest and allow your body to heal from within.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE

The art of Indian Head Massage is an Ayurvedic form of healing and relaxation used widely in Asia, mainly by masseurs and hairdressers, to combat daily tension and stress. The Malish technique addresses the back, neck, scalp and face using a variety of massage pressures and techniques and is one of the most relaxing types of massages you will ever experience. Ideal for any neck or shoulder tension, the massage starts on the back and neck working deeply over the muscles and pressure points that help the muscles to relax. Moving on to the scalp, massage techniques are used which relax, stimulate and revive this area. The whole scalp is covered to encourage circulation, oxygen and nutrients to the area. The effect of this is to help stimulate hair growth and revitalize the brain. Finally, the treatment finishes with a wonderful soothing face massage, which includes pressure points and draining techniques that may help headaches and sinus problems.

JING-LUO BALANCING MASSAGE

Jing-Luo balancing massage is based on Tui-Na and therapeutic massage techniques that will re-establish the correct energy flow on the acupuncture meridians (Jing-Luo), resulting in the relaxation and balance of your body and mind.
Like acupuncture, this massage technique is based on the theory of jing luo or channels and collaterals. According to this theory the body is networked by a system of pathways which function to transport qi and blood, to regulate yin and yang, to protect against external pathogens and to link the internal organs with the exterior. Blockage of the jing luo causes pain and is intimately connected with all health problems.
This massage is focused on the jing luo and on xue (acupoints) where qi gathers and can be easily manipulated. Massage techniques affect the jing luo by activating the qi and blood flow, regulating qi and blood by dispersing stagnation and guiding counterflow and dredging the channels by removing external pathogens like cold and damp.
This massage also relaxes the jin (sometimes mistranslated as tendons, jin actually refers to the function of all soft and connective tissue in relation to movement and flexibility) to ease spasm and increase flexibility and straighten the joints. Both jin and joints closely affect the flow of qi in the jing luo.

KALARIPAYATT

Kalaripayatt massage works on the energy body according to Ayurveda, but on the physical body as well. We focus on the main energy lines of the body, called “nadis”. As a consequence it also affects the main energy points, called “marmas”.
There are three different approaches that can used for this massage:

Nirthi Kai Uzichil
Standing handmassage. It is a full body oil massage, given in standing position. Duration is 20 to 25 min. This massage is energizing, reviving and awakening. It reduces body tension and the client feels light and balanced in body and mind alike.

Kai Uzichil
Lying full body handmassage, also given with oil. In this massage we apply long strokes to the client’s body with more pressure like the one mentioned before. Duration is about 45 min. The effect is the same but more intense.

Chavutti tirumal
Traditional Kerala Foot Therapy, is a full body oil massage given with the feet of the therapist. We apply long strokes to the whole body with deep pressure. A short version can last 45 min.

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE

This is a very slow, rhythmic and soft massage. The Manual Lymphatic Drainage acts on many systems in the body, balancing the sympathetic nervous system (insomnia, depression, nervousness, stress, etc), stimulates the immune system and improves the venous and lymphatic circulation (tired and heavy legs, cellulite, edema, etc). It helps to remove toxins from the body and has a very calming and relaxing effect.

MARMA MASSAGE

The Marmas (vital points) are a very important part of Ayurvedic anatomy and surgery. A Marma point is defined as an anatomical site where flesh, veins, arteries, tendons, bones and joints meet up. There are 107 Marma points throughout the body. Each point has it’s own intelligence and consciousness, which co-ordinate with the mind and body. This ancient form of treatment dating back to between 1500 — 1200 BC involves using the fingers to stimulate the Marma points thereby promoting physical and mental rehabilitation. As with Acupuncture, these points correspond to internal organs and systems of the body that react to manual stimulation.
The human body, like a machine needs servicing in order to function normally. The Hindu healthcare system uses Marma massage as a routine part of their preventative medicine. A professional therapist isolates the Marma points and cleans them out by increasing the blood flow to the affected part of the neuro-muscular junction. They also aim to tone the surrounding muscles.
Marma massage has been known to help with nervousness and anxiety, light headedness, numbness or metallic taste in the mouth, tingling in the fingertips and toes, stress at work & home, lack of energy, weakness in general, muscular aches and pains including back and neck.

MURI ABHYANGA

Abhyanga is the name given to the therapeutic ayurvedic massage. It is a gentle but firm whole body massage from head to toe using warm medicated oils.
Muri Abhyanga involves passive muscle stretches and use of special massage and manipulation techniques that stimulate the system of energy channels. The procedure speeds up the body’s own natural healing processes. The passive stretching technique works toward a balance between muscles and meridians while gentle manipulations increase mobility.

OBSIDIAN AND QUARTZ THERAPY

The Obsidian is beautiful and very powerful mexican stone. It is melted lava that has crystallzed. It comes from the heart of the Earth.
It was used in the past in many ways by our ancestors as a healing stone and also as a war tool.
It represents fire and connects our soul to the Earth helping us ground our energy. It is especially good in cases of depression and shock. It relieves pain and absobs bad energies. It supports the opening of the crown chakra and supports the connection with past lives.
In this session, the Stones are placed in different points of the body and Reiki is also given.

ORIENTAL BODY WORK

Oriental Body Work is a massage based on the Chinese Massage (Tuina) that includes elements of other oriental massages like Shiatsu, Ayurvedic and Thai.
This massage has been designed by the therapist and it is a combination of all the techniques he is experienced in.

OSTEOPATHY

Osteopathy, or osteopathic medicine, is based on the belief that most diseases are related to problems in the musculoskeletal system and that structure and function of the body are related. You are more than just the sum of your body parts. That’s why doctors of osteopathic medicine (DOs) practice a “whole person” approach to health care. Instead of just treating specific symptoms, osteopathic physicians concentrate on treating you as a whole. Osteopathic physicians understand how all the body’s systems are interconnected and how each one affects the others. They focus special attention on the musculoskeletal system, which reflects and influences the condition of all other body systems. This system of bones and muscles makes up about two-thirds of the body’s mass, and a routine part of the examination DOs give patients is a careful evaluation of these important structures. DOs know that the body’s structure plays a critical role in its ability to function. They can use their eyes and hands to identify structural problems and to support the body’s natural tendency toward health and self-healing. Osteopathic physicians also use their ears to listen to you and your health concerns. DOs help patients develop attitudes and lifestyles that don’t just fight illness but also help prevent disease.

PALMISTRY

Palmistry or chiromancy is the art of characterization and foretelling the future of the palm, also known as Palm Reading.
It is believed that Palmistry originated in India with its roots in Astrology and Romanian (Gypsy) fortune tellers.

PRANASSAGE

Pranassage® is a blend of yoga and bodywork that induces yoga nidra (yogi’s sleep), a profoundly relaxed state of awareness that is said to offer some of the restorative benefits of a good night’s sleep.
The “magic” of Pranassage comes from the manipulation of Prana, the body’s intelligent life force. Prana is the energy behind your heartbeat, the pulses of your nervous system, and the flow of your breath. Through touch, pressure, and traditional yoga postures, Pranassage offers a unique opportunity to tap into this energy, to resynchronize the mind and body, and to fully experience the present moment.
Your only role in your Pranassage session is to let go and enjoy the experience of being in your own body, but you may also experience other health benefits. Wear loose fitting and stretchy clothing to facilitate the flow of movement.

QHAQOY – INCA MASSAGE

This is a very ancient Healing Art inducing a state of deep relaxation traditionally used by curanderos (medicine men) in Bolivia and Peru. It’s based on the developing and the refinement of the sense of touch believed to be the prime “sense of knowledge”. The Incas and their descendants use it to reactivate the harmonic flow of Ti (male-Sun) and Ki (female-Moon) energy throughout the body. Health by them is intended as the right balance between Man and Nature.
Qhaqoy is highly effective in the stimulation of the natural self-healing mechanism.
Its aim is to restore optimal condition of mental and physical health in the individual. It works by compensating any excess or loss of energy due to the accumulation of a continuous emotional tension or stress, such as anxiety, pain, anger, stress, fear or worry. During the massage, which uses nine different “touches” and methods to rebalance the body-mind and the spirit; memories, images and forgotten experiences, may emerge and be discharged through physical catharsis and emotional releases and bring about deep relaxation and healing.
“The sense of touch is the most powerful instrument to understand oneself and the other. The hands are an instrument of communication, healing and understanding at the disposal of each human being.” – H.H. Mamani

QUIRO MASSAGE

Quiromassage is a technique that is directed toward eliminating or diminishing muscular pain that is related to tension, blocked energy or lack of toning.
The technique is based on friction, pressure, percussion and stretching, depending on the problem being treated and the method used. These techniques are accompanied by the utilization of creams, oils, or essences, to improve the manipulation and application of a quiromassage. The massage activates circulation speed, as it acts on the veins and produces a squeezing or emptying action in the vein walls. It allows for the development of force and movement in the muscles and also produces significant growth in venous and lymphatic interior circulation, thus facilitating muscular metabolism. It raises the temperature of the skin from 2 to 3ºC. This provokes benefits in people affected by circulatory dificulties.
Quiromassage is especially recommended in cases of anaemia because it stimulates the function of the hemoglobin in the blood.

RECONNECTIVE HEALING

Reconnective Healing is a new way of interacting with the body’s energy field, linking to universal energy frequencies which can bring about amazing physical healings. It is considered to be able to reconnect us to the Universe and to our very essence not just through a new set of healing frequencies but also through possibly an entirely new bandwidth.
It helps us overcome physical, emotional and mental patterns that prevents us from evolving as human beings. And it is such a fun and overwhelming experience!… Come and see what the Universe has in store for you.
It is often a life-changing experience that uses the light and information exchange of the fifth-dimensional energy grid to renew the human body, mind, and spirit.
Healing is a return to balance. Every health challenge is a combination of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. With Reconnective Healing you allow yourself to come back into balance.
Each person’s experience is unique and just right for them at that time. Some experience deep, profound relaxation. Others report relief from pain or other physical problems. Others have reported healings from serious afflictions. Some report seeing angels or guides; others experience visions, colours, lights, and sounds they’ve never known before. Whether one experiences events such as these or nothing at all, the Reconnective Healing frequencies are affecting their purpose. Frequencies are initiated by the practitioner at the start of the session, and continue working with the client long after the visit has ended.
“Recognizing that ‘healing’ means reconnecting with the perfection of the universe, we realize that the universe knows what we need to receive.” – Dr. Eric Pearl

REHABILITATION MASSAGE

Rehabilitation massage is good for chronic and more recent injuries and ensures rapid recovery and improved flexibility.
This type of massage treats torn or pulled muscles as well as sprains and strains. It also stretches muscles that have limited movement.
This massage also helps breaking down scar tissue to improve flexibility. Rehabilitation massage can also release tension by improving blood and lymph flow.

REIKI

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.” A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including the body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

RELAXATION

When we relax, our body calms down and rests, and our mind changes, as we sink into the “Alpha State”- as if your body was sleeping, but you were mentally awake. This state is a very special place, where we can tune in to our deeper self.
Yoga, Meditation and even Hypnotism, Psychoanalysis and Psychology have always explored this “secret garden” of our minds. In this new millennium, we now have several techniques at our disposal, and can access this garden and “take care” of it. Relaxation as a therapy blends techniques from the East and West: Yoga Nidra/Savasana and Pranayama techniques, and relaxation therapies by Schultz, Jacobson, and Cayçedo (Sophrology).

RHYTHMIC MASSAGE – PRESSEL

Massage is a therapy that has been known since ancient times. It is one of the elementary therapeutic instruments. The use of the hands in the massage reveals the primary therapeutic gesture of the relationship between the therapist and the receiver.
PRESSEL massage strengthens and activates the body’s own curative forces. This curative process initiates in the muscles and extends to the internal organ systems.
Most pathologies found today like arthritis, heart disease, cancer and diabetes are related to hardening, functional blockages ad lack of fluidity and movement. This progressive hardening of the muscles of the body stops the flowing of the vital forces.
A warm, free, elastic and well irrigated musculature is the base for health and healing of all organic systems and also the recovery of a healthy anima (joy of living).
Pressel massage allows for the modeling of the body’s musculature, bringing fluidity and elasticity to the muscles and activating the circulation of the stagnated vital forces.
The massage affects the body at a deep level, gradually softening the blockages.
Because all the organ systems in the body are connected through the circulatory system, the effects of the massage can be felt throughout the whole body.

SACRED GEOMETRIC AND BINAURAL BEATS THERAPY

This is a very beautiful and powerful therapy. Binaural beats music is placed on headphones whilst sacred mandalas and aromatherpy are placed in the body to open different chakras. The experience is absolutely magic.
Binaural beats or tones are auditory processing artifacts, or apparent sounds, the perception of which arises in the brain for specific physical stimuli. This effect was discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove, and earned greater public awareness in the late 20th century based on claims that binaural beats could help induce relaxation, meditation, creativity and other desirable mental states. Binaural beats reportedly influence the brain in more subtle ways through the entrainment of brain waves and have been claimed to reduce anxiety and provide other health benefits such as control over pain.

SEITAI

Seitai is a traditional Japanese manual therapy that allows for the balancing of the body’s vitality through touch and movement. It is the origin of Osteopathy. It is a massage that is performed through gentle stretches along the meridians so as to balance the receiver’s vital energy. It Works essentialy on the muscular and articular body systems.
Seitai in Japanese means “body in order” and is defined as the art of awakening the body’s wisdom so that it can mantain its own perfect balance.

SHIATSU

Shiatsu is a gentle and powerful Japanese healing art that translated literally means finger pressure. Originating from oriental massage it affects the same points and meridians worked on in Acupuncture; but uses a method of gentle pressure through touch so as to re-establish flow of energy and well-being. Shiatsu sessions bring about deep relaxation and can be experienced as profoundly calming and peaceful. This alone will stimulate your own self-healing abilities. A physical level Shiatsu can help with easing physical pain in the back, neck, head, shoulders or joints; increasing suppleness in stiff muscles or joints; improving breathing whether there are difficulties or not; calming digestive disorders, resolving constipation; menstrual problems; conditions arising during pregnancy or post-natal. On a mental level Shiatsu can help with decreasing the levels of stress; increasing the clarity of the mind; increasing awareness of mental states. On an emotional level Shiatsu can help with decreasing the levels of anxiety; decreasing frequency of panic attacks; processing grief; finding more positivity when depressed; generally calming any emotions that arise.

SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports massage was originally developed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons.
But you don’t have to be in the Olympics to benefit from sports massage. Sports massage is also good for people with injuries, chronic pain or restricted range of motion. The massage therapist generally concentrates on a specific problem area. This is the type of sports massage that you see in the spa.

TA’ROOT – TAROT READING

This is an intuitive psychic approach to Tarot. It is a mix of styles and reading techniques. The symbols of the cards are just one set of indications used for the reading, others may come from psychic perception, spirits and devas and really anything present in the environment starts to speak and continuously communicate, so when one comes with questions and open ears … well, he might just get the answer!
The session is a direct and interactive, simple yet often so powerful way to shed some light on hidden patterns and unseen movements that prevent the person from fully enjoying the beauty of Dancing in the Now. It brings clarity through Seeing, understanding through connecting the dots.
Its aim is to bring about a sense of “being at peace” with Oneself and with Life. This will come as a result of questioning and enquiring into what is perceived to be a problem, a tension, an obstacle. When it is seen just for what it is, a part of the flow of opposites in the cycles of life, when its unseen “message” it’s heard and taken at heart then the “war” inside oneself will naturally cease to exist.
“Everyone has a question, everyone is looking for something, but what one normally does not know is that the answer is already present in the question itself…”

TAOIST HEALING MASSAGE

The Tao of Healing Art introduces us to extraordinary vistas and levels of health. Another name for the Tao of Healing Art is Tuei-Na. The word Tuei means “pushing away abnormality.” The word Na means the “taking out abnormality.” Together these words represent manual or implemental manipulation of meridian points to encourage, adjust and balance the natural functions of the three folds of the body. The techniques of Tuei-Na, described as the oldest of healing techniques by the Yellow Emperor, are the result of diligent research by Taoists. After noticing that human beings naturally and immediately clasp themselves upon experiencing pain, Taoists began to research the effects of manual and implemental manipulation for pain and other problems. From their research, many theories and techniques of healing were developed. Healing is an art and a gift of kindness. It is an art because the changes within the human body are infinite and only the healer can sense the type and degree of intervention required. A machine has neither the wisdom nor the sensitivity to handle the endless variations and reactions of the human body. No machine, even if it is computerized, can equal the skill of the healer. The healer’s kindness toward mankind augments the efficacy of the healing techniques, because he or she is willing to give a part of him or herself to replace that which is wanting in the sick. Kindness and wisdom are mankind’s God-given gifts, and there is no machine capable of emitting these qualities.

THAI MASSAGE

Traditional Thai Massage is a deep body work that uses passive stretching and gentle pressure along energy lines of the body. This ancient form of massage dates back over 2500 years to the time of Buddha and could be described as a cross between shiatsu, acupressure, and yoga. Practitioners apply pressure along meridian lines with their thumbs, hands and feet to stimulate circulation of energy in the body and also move and stretch their clients in Yoga-like postures to release muscular and joint tension. Facilitates relaxation, increases body awareness, frees blockages in energy flow. It tones the nervous system, relieves pain and muscular tension, increases nutrient absorption capacity, strengthens and rejuvenates the body, improves blood circulation and lymphatic drainage and gives a sense of well being, restoring vital energy and rebalancing on a physical, mental and emotional level.

THAI REFLEXOLOGY MASSAGE

Thai Reflexology, an ancient technique, involves applying a very specific massage to certain reflex points of the feet by which we stimulate the body’s own self-healing mechanism, thus promoting balance, harmony and healing. The patient will be immersed in a state of total relaxation and enjoyment, a feeling that will linger for several hours after the therapy.

THAI-VEDIC YOGA MASSAGE

Thai-Vedic Yoga Massage is a spiritual practice that incorporates the Buddhist principles of mindfulness ( Vipassana) and loving kindness (Metta). Powerful yogic stretches are applied carefully along with a slow deep acupressure technique. This ancient massage works both the gross muscular level of the recipient, as well as the subtle energy level of the body. The recipient experiences this as a relaxed supported bodywork that creates a profound sense of space and relaxation in the entire being.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

This massage, performed with the aid of natural oils, results from the application of various techniques of manual manipulation of soft tissues, both superficial and deep, to relieve muscle tension, symptoms of pain and discomfort, resulting from injuries or musculoskeletal disorders.
It contributes to the balance of muscle tone, increases flexibility and releases restrictions and adhesions, leading to improved movement and functionality. The deep tissue massage also stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation, contributing to the reduction of fatigue and the release of toxins.
This kind of massage also acts on the parasympathetic nervous system promoting relaxation and contributing to the emotional balance, creating conditions for a physical and psychological wellbeing.

TOYOHARI ACUPUNCTURE

Toyohari Acupuncture is a very gentle and effective therapeutic method from Japan. Acupuncture in Japan has been adapted to suit the needs of today’s modern person, hence it generally uses milder needling techniques with thinner gauge needles, and shallower insertion methods.
Acupuncture can be used to help strengthen a person’s natural healing ability, to speed up the recovery from disease and as a preventative measure to help protect one’s health. This goal, coupled with targeting the relief of specific symptoms that each patient presents with requires that we use a wide variety of treatment methods, including different needling methods, application of heat through the use of moxibustion, retained needling methods, cupping, etc.
Our treatment approach assesses each patient individually to determine what are the optimal treatment approaches and combinations of techniques for each patient.
The primary goals of the treatment are two-fold: first to assess and then to improve the natural healing ability of each patient through identifying what we perceive to be the primary disturbances in the body that weaken this ability, and second to help relieve and if possible, eliminate symptoms.
Many health problems have responded well to treatment, covering a wide range of medical conditions and complaints like acute pain and Muscular skeletal problems: back pain, headaches, neck pain, joint pain. Toyohari can also be used for internal organ system challenges like asthma, fatigue, burn-out amongst others.

TRADITIONAL TIBETAN OCEAN MASSAGE

Ocean Massage is the closest translation of the Tibetan word, lakper jamtso, which means kneading with the hands as the ocean.
While it might seem strange for a land locked people to refer to the ocean, it is often symbolic of broad and deep knowledge. In fact, the word “dalai” of His Holiness the Dalai Lama means ocean. It was a title given to the 3rd Dalai Lama by the Mongolian emperor, Altyn Khan, to imply that his knowledge of spirituality was as vast as the ocean.
Tibetan massage has been practiced for thousands of years in Tibet and the Himalayan region of Asia as an integral part of Tibetan Medicine treatment. The practitioner focuses on specific points on the body that correspond to different constitutions or natural of illnesses. It is beneficial as a stand-alone treatment as well as a preventative measure against illnesses and a supportive treatment in conjunction with other modalities.
It is an excellent way to relax and promote general health and well-being. This practice is especially beneficial for neurological problems including numbness, sciatica, and paralysis; psychological and emotional imbalances including agitation, anxiety, depression, moodiness, forgetfulness, lack of concentration, and insomnia; women’s health issues including irregular menstruation and PMS, dysmenorrhea; prenatal women and ease of pain during labor; stress related problems including migraine headaches and tension headaches; back pain including upper, middle, and lower back; constipation; tight muscles, joints and ligaments, neck and shoulder rigidity, whiplash; poor circulation. Please do not eat a large meal before your treatment. Also, avoid taking a cold shower or being exposed to the cold directly after the massage.

TRIGGER POINT RELEASE

Trigger Point Release Therapy is a comprehensive program that includes inactivating trigger points by using a combination of compression (trigger point release pressure), stretch and moist heat. Therapeutic exercises, including both active and passive stretches bring the muscle back to its full normal length. Most people suffer pain that has its origin in a myofascial component and it is likely that you will have a decrease in pain and an increase in motion once the treatment with trigger point release is started.

VIDANNE

VIDANNE is a session created by Anne Rasquin where she essentially incorporates all her techniques and especially the Hatmara-Mervaka method.

VIDANNE means:
V=vida – life
I =intuition
D=divine
A=Anne
N=nucleus (dna)
N=neutral
E=energy

The Hatmara-Merkava deals with all levels of life.
The method provides tools and a practical way to transform the ”un-happy energy” into “energy of life”.

YOGA THERAPY

In a yoga therapy session, the therapist will observe how a person perfoms some Asanas or yoga poses and watch for the areas of the body that need to be balanced or where there might be some energetic blockages. The therapist will then practice some asanas with you so as to free these areas of the body.
