The publication of the book “20 Years of Psychedelic Trance” in 2011, by Tom Rom and Pascal Querner, is a clear sign that the Goa Trance movement is at a turning point in its history and is now ready to hand on its message to the next generations.
This panel presents a rare opportunity to meet some of the main artists, producers, visionaries, movers and shakers behind the psytrance scene and to hear what inspired them to dedicate their passion, commitment and skill to this movement. What tracks left an indelible mark in their hearts? What is the cultural, mystical and transformational potential of this scene? But also, what is their honest critique of psytrance? In which ways does Boom Festival contribute to the development of the movement? And what are the possible future scenarios?

These three passionate artists from the Amazonian region will join us for a discussion panel that will explore their work as the direct result of their visions under the effect of sacred Amazonian plant medicine. We are especially proud to host them in Boom Festival as the most talented representatives of the next generation of South American visionary artists, both extremely skilful from a technical point of view and extensively experienced in shamanic practices, turning them into real modern vessels of the messages that the Great Spirit is sending us.
BUILDING A POST-PROHIBITION WORLD: THE ROLE OF PSYCHEDELIC RESEARCH, TRANSFORMATIONAL FESTIVALS AND POLITICAL ACTION
This panel explores how the groundbreaking research conducted in the past decades on psychoactive substances together with emerging transformative events (like Boom Festival) and grassroots political action can merge and contribute to map the territory of a possible post-prohibition future. What dots still need to be connected? What solutions do we need for overcoming the obstacles still present along this path?
