Ryoma has been working as a massage therapist for over 13 years Who is what we call a “people’s person”. In 2003 he went to Thailand to study in Chiang Mai. He then complemented his studies at the Japan Acupuncture and Moxibustion Medical Treatment College in Tokyo. Ryoma regularly studies with his master in Japan, where he is constantly learning new ways of correcting posture and releasing tightness. His original style of massage, that blends shiatsu & thai massage, is both therapeutic and relaxing. He works with pressure points and realigns the body by lengthening and manipulating muscles. This will make the client’s body get into the right condition. When you stand up after then, you will feel lighter, taller, more open, with a broader shoulder and chest posture. Ryoma also gives you recommendations on exercises you can do at home to help maintain an optimal body alignment.
Original Shiatsu Session
This original style of massage is both therapeutic and relaxing. The therapist works with pressure points and realigns the body through muscles, and not bones (not chiropractic). He touches the skin and bone, then finding the differences (bad) in points of the body. He then applies pressure to that point through several techniques, mainly one where the client is lying on his/her back. Because this is the most relaxing position for people in general, it is easy for the body to relax more, and then the therapist can slide his hand under the back and massage the pressure points and then do stretching. The therapist also softly hits certain points, to energize, and then focuses on the sides of the client’s body. This will make the client’s body get into the right condition.
