African Contemporary Dance - by Anitxa Roots, music by Yemadas
It is a modern vision of the African tradition, traditional movements inspire the creation of new movements. The pillars of this dance are the roots of Africa, the end result is an exploration of the infinite possibilities in which a movement can become, in the exploration of the technique of contemporary dance. From the change of the speed of movement, the amplitude of the movement, to the cutting and sewing of thousands of seconds of movement, to the new geometric forms of the modern body, where the result is a choreographic sequence elaborated for the present moment, here and now. The sounds that inspire this contemporary Afro dance workshop will be more electronic and deconstructed with influences from the diverse music of Africa.
