Les Filles De Illigahdad
They are 3 Tuareg women from Illighadad responsible for a real revolution!
Fatou Seidi Ghali, the leader of the band and guitarist, is one of the only two women who knows how to play guitar throughout all Niger. Along with the singer Alamnou Akrouni and a tende percussionist (a traditional mud drumm with goatskin), Les Filles of Illighadad created a sound that draws from the same tradition as Tinariwen.
For Fatou Seidi Ghali, the tende is the starting point for a unique vision of music, which puts the guitar at the center of her tracks, making us travel through the desert blues and beyond.
