Join Nataniel Melo, from the Portuguese band ‘Terrakota’, and Jan Balbaligo, for an exciting and dynamic workshop of making music with eco-instruments. Using specially made bamboo flutes and percussion pieces as well as everyday household items, children will get a chance to create beautiful harmonious sounds, demonstrating that you can use anything to make music.
Nataniel is a polyvalent musician who uses Art to gather and connect people of all ages. He works with the sense of unity and awareness of a world that can be much better when united by our inner rhythms and all our melodic differences. He has performed for more than 20 years with bands such as ‘Terrakota’ and ‘Selma Uamusse’, amongst many others. He also works as a creator of music and dance workshops all around the world.
Jan has worked with natural materials and bamboo for many years designing and building large scale artistic structures and stages for festivals and events. She has been able to explore the world through Art using her creativity, on a mission to promote natural materials to a wider audience. She also enjoys inspiring children (and adults!) to get creative with the environment around them in a fun and colourful way.
Together they are collaborative duo bringing their love of music, bamboo and teaching children in this fresh and interactive workshop.
