I am because We are

I am because We are

I AM BECAUSE WE ARE

An attempt to unifying our vision of a fragmented reality, through understanding basic concepts of Sacred Geometry and using photography as a tool of observation.

While we may be trapped into a structural web that stops us from seeing the world and ourselves as we are, we believe creative education is key to help each one of us to broaden our perspective and reframe given assumptions about our reality. Children are the adults of tomorrow. Therefore, our hope for a better future lies greatly with them.

#IAMBECAUSEWEARE will be an attempt to unify the vision of a fragmented reality, through understanding basic concepts of Sacred Geometry and using photography as a tool of observation.

The essence of creation is beyond culture. It is a universal sacred language expressed by the universe. The structure of number, geometry, and harmony is reflected in all of creation. It is the great mystery of matter and pattern. The 5 “Platonic Solids” are the only regularly occurring structures in nature. They are present from the structure of the atom to the spiraling galaxies; from the geometry of flowers to the anatomy of the human ear; from the forms of crystals to the majesty of the hurricane.

During the workshops, we will draw with compass and ruler. We will model the 5 Platonic Solids (Tetrahedron, Hexahedron, Octahedron, Icosahedrons, Dodecahedron) in 3 dimensions, and listen to the musical intervals of these universal ratios. We will see how the dynamic form of the spiral expresses energy and form, and the significance of the Golden Ratio (Phi) and other transcendental numbers. In doing so we will deepen our understanding of our place in the Cosmos and see how connected we are. We will then bring observation to our learning experience. Participants will be given cameras to photograph the Sacred Geometry all around us. The pictures will be paraded and exhibited at the festival.

Eyes of the Street (Bio)

This is where capacity is built to ignite creativity and bring joy to communities. This is done through photography as a tool of voice to empower children and youngsters to express themselves and be protagonists of their stories. The project also combines creative elements such as art and film to expand our perception of the world and reframe stereotypes.
