Applications deadlines, accessibillity and program news: looking ahead to 2020
It’s the last full moon of a decade; and on this special celestial event, we bring you some quick reminders to round off the year as together, we look ahead to 2020.
We’re fast approaching the cut off date for some of the applications, so with 20 days to go, you’ve still got until 31 December by 23h59 (Portuguese Continental Time) to submit your proposals to areas including: Music, Art Installations, Deco & Video, Performances (Street & Stage), Therapists, Workshops & Presentations, Kids Activities & Workshops and Fine Arts Galleries.
Inclusivity is a crucial component of the Boom ethos. This means we are catering for those Boomers who have informed us they live with a disability or are part of the Deaf Community.
If you checked the Deaf Community / Persons with Disability Access box at the point of purchasing your Boom ticket, then we kindly ask you to fill the Access Requirement Form by 31 December at 23h59 (Portuguese Continental Time).
Your participation in this process is key. To find out more, please read the notes we have published about Accessibility.
Boom is not a line up-based festival. Above all else, we pay attention to quality and design the festival program around a theme that mutates each edition. There are no main stages at Boom: all music areas contribute equally to the psychedelic experience.
From 22 December, in sync with the Winter solstice we’ll begin sharing details of some of the artists who will perform at each stage and the concepts behind the music for the 2020 edition.
Liminal Village Themes
The cultural program at the Liminal Village revolves around sub-themes related to the Boom 2020 main theme, Anthropocene.
We have been reflecting in the last months on how to create an operating framework based several dimensions of it to present at the Liminal Village and the NGO Dome.
We are very happy with the outputs and save the date: on 26 December we will release the Liminal Village Anthropocene themes.
For all those who follow the Gregorian calendar’s New Year celebrations; let us enter 2020 with positive intentions to become the best versions of ourselves; radiating on the frequency of love to heal ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
Let’s aim to a regenerative Anthropocene.
