Dance Temple

Celebrate Humanity and activate your imagination at our psychedelic playground

The duality of the Anthropocene truly converges at the Dance Temple, where we come together to celebrate what it means to be human.

Human creativity and imagination unites with the latest cutting-edge technology to create a stunning dance floor for the planet. The Dance Temple is where we come to be as one, to dance away our troubles and fears and connect with our Mother Earth while stomping to some of the most intense tribal rhythms to ricochet around.

So many Boomers make the pilgrimage to Boomland, spending days at the Dance Temple’s altar. It's where architecture and decoration are as important as the music. This is demonstrated by innovative artists and architects, 3D mappers and lighting wizards, and of course DJs, producers and musicians. Together, they co-create an incredibly unique celebration of everything our psychedelic scene has to offer. Encapsulating the full spectrum of psytrance, you’ll dance to some of the truest pioneers of electronic music alongside the freshest up-and-coming acts.

In 2018, the Dance Temple comprised 12 DJ sets, 51 live sets, four live bands, and, in keeping with our ethos for supporting home-grown Portuguese acts, there were also seven local artists blasting out on a brand new sound system.

As we enter the days of the Anthropocene, it is more important than ever to create a sacred space for you to shimmy and shake, skip and swing, strut and sway, spin, twist and transcend. We aim to activate your imagination and take you to powerful new places that will prepare you for the challenges ahead and help you envision a beautiful, colourful and life-affirming sustainable future for humanity.

Leave your ego at the door and prepare to be enchanted and empowered by our psychedelic playground. The Boom 2022 adventure has just begun!

The program is continuously updated as we journey closer towards the festival dates.

(Selfie sticks, mobile phones and national flags are not transcendental or psychedelic - just the opposite. They represent the dark side of the Anthropocene, as they disrupt the flow of Here & Now and interfere with the state of Oneness.)
