The Art of Living at Boom
Tips and practical info for your time at the festival
Living in Boom is an art. Alongside the joy, connection, and unforgettable memories, there’s also a lot to know to help you settle into life in Boomland, and we have some tips that’ll make all the difference to your experience.
That’s why we’ve put together a guide packed with everything you need — from what (and what not) to bring, to travel tips, camping info, facilities, what daily life is like on-site, and more. It’s all designed to help you make the most of your time at Boom.
The Art of Living at Boom guide also includes some simple rules everyone can follow at Boom and beyond, to ensure we all live in sync with the planet. It's an easy-to-read guide that we encourage you to refer to whenever you need to.
Cashless System
Cashless is a secure solution that avoids voucher systems and waste of paper. In a festival context, it contributes to facilitating the logistics — swifter services, therefore less time waiting in lines.
A Cashless FAQ is available should you want to know more. Namely: refunds after Boom, the plus sides of anticipating your registration and topping up, the 24 hour cashless helping stand at the Info Stand and more.
This service does not track your movements, as it is not equipped with any GPS technology, your wristband chip is protected by a highly secure encryption.
Utopia: Reuse Tents for a Greener Boom
Renting a tent is easy, it saves you the hassle of buying and transporting equipment. Travel light, travel sustainably, be aware. At Utopia you can rent a tent or buy other camping equipment.
There you can also find a repair station where you can fix minor tent damages.
Shower Times
Boomland’s water comes from the local public grid - the same one that supplies around 10,000 people in the surrounding region. That’s why we all need to be extra mindful about how we use it.
To help reduce pressure on the system while circa 40,000 Boomers are in the region, we limit the daily operating hours of showers. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Help us to #SaveTheDrop
This year, showers will be open between:
08:00 - 12:00
19:00 - 00:00
Lake
Enjoy it safely. Few things compare to the feeling of taking a dip in the lake when the heat sets in, or simply relaxing your body after a marathon dance session. But remember: safety is crucial.
This edition, we have four lookout posts, with two lifeguards per post in the following locations:
Sacred Fire
The Gardens
Central Plaza (with an aquatic chair for Boomers with reduced mobility)
Funky Beach
The surveillance schedule — 08:00 to 20:00 — is on display at each of these locations.
Boomland is Your Home
We take care of Boomland all year-round to welcome you in the best way, providing a breathtaking natural space with the best conditions possible for you to have an incredible Boom. Leave it better than you found it
While you’re here, we ask you to take care of it. It is, after all, your home:
Separate your rubbish and place it in the appropriate bins.
The lake is sacred, and the water is scarce; never pollute it.
Respect all trees, plants and wildlife around you.
Don’t leave your camping gear behind. If you can’t carry your tent, shade or any other structure back home, pack it down and bring it to the Info Stand, so that it can be reused.
Most importantly, look after yourself and those around you. Stay hydrated, eat nourishing food, rest when you need to, and get enough sleep. Boom is a week of joy, music, and connection - there’s no need to rush. You have time to experience it all.
Also, remember to respect the “other”, the “different”, whether it’s a plant, an animal or your neighbour! Be friendly, act with solidarity and generosity. We Are Love.
