Boom is a playground for boundary-breaking art, and performance sits at the centre of it all. Take a walk around the site to find conceptual works, theatrical storytelling and site-specific performances that challenge and provoke thought rather than merely entertain.

Artists use the human body, the land, everyday objects and other non-conventional materials as tools for storytelling, turning ideas into compelling concepts or interactive live art experiences that invite active participation.

As well as a wide variety of street performances, the performance zones span a wealth of tradition-defying art productions that explore diverse themes and styles.

Don't miss our special sunset shows, which take place every day throughout the festival and are a magical way to gather and close out the day at Boom.
