Tickets for the event are sold by Good Mood, Lda. (the “Promoter”), an organisation dedicated to the production of cultural events and the implementation of good environmental practices. The following are the terms and conditions applicable to Boom Festival (the “Festival”):

1. The purchaser of ticket(s) for the Festival shall be the sole contractual counterparty recognised as such by the Promoter. Accordingly, the Promoter’s obligations arising from the purchase agreement entered into between the parties shall be owed to that person.

2. Minors under the age of 18, provided that they are over 15 years of age, may purchase a ticket through the platform indicated by the Promoter. In this case, the ticket will be sent to the purchaser’s email address, but may not be used until the Promoter has received a declaration authorising the minor (purchaser and ticket holder) to attend the Festival, signed by the person(s) having legal powers of representation over the minor.

3. Ticket purchaser (s) and ticket (s) holders with disabilities may request that the Promoter allow them to be accompanied throughout the Festival by a third party who has not purchased a ticket, for the purposes of assistance and support. Such request will be reviewed by the Promoter and, if approved, the third party will be issued with a ticket for admission to the Festival. The use of such a ticket and entry into the venue by the aforementioned third party shall be conditional upon the use of a ticket and entry into the venue by the ticket purchaser and ticket holder with a disability.

4. The use of the ticket and the corresponding entry into the Venue constitute acceptance by the ticket holder of these Terms and Conditions. It also entails the ticket holder’s undertaking to comply with them. In the event of a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel the ticket, refuse admission to the venue, expel the ticket holder from the venue and, where applicable, seize any goods, products or objects that are not permitted within the Venue — with no refund of the ticket price being due in any of the aforementioned cases.

5. Tickets may not be transferred, resold, refunded or reissued, unless the Promoter, at its sole discretion, decides otherwise. If any ticket is resold or transferred by the ticket holder, or by any person other than the Promoter or one of its authorised sub-agents, such ticket shall be cancelled and, consequently, its holder shall not be permitted to enter or remain in the Venue.

6. No ticket may be used for competitions, promotions or hospitality packages without the Promoter’s prior written consent, failing which the relevant holder shall not be admitted to or permitted to remain in the Venue.

7. The Promoter reserves the right to change the Festival programme without such decision entitling ticket holders to a refund of the price of such tickets.

8. Official wristbands must be worn at all times throughout the Festival. If any person is found within the Venue without a wristband properly worn on their wrist, or wearing a damaged/altered wristband, such person shall be required to leave the Festival Venue.

9. Lost, stolen or unlawfully taken, destroyed or damaged tickets shall not be replaced and their price shall not be refunded. The price of unused tickets shall likewise not be refunded. Admission to the Festival Venue shall not be permitted without presentation of a valid ticket. Upon receipt of the ticket, it must be checked immediately, failing which it may not be possible to correct any errors at a later stage.

10. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse admission to the Venue and informs that searches may be carried out — by members of the team or by persons external to the organisation, duly accredited for such purpose — with a view to ensuring compliance with these Terms and Conditions and the safety of everyone at the Festival.

11. Any ticket holder who, within the Venue, fails to comply with the instructions of the Promoter or of any person acting on its behalf shall be required to leave the Festival Venue. Likewise, any ticket holder who engages in behaviour contrary to the peaceful environment intended for the Festival shall be required to leave the Venue.

12. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage to any property, vehicles, objects or products belonging to ticket holders occurring during the event. The ticket holder acknowledges that the property where the Festival takes place is an area that may contain obstacles, risks and hazards, known and unknown, natural and artificial, which may cause loss or damage to the property, objects or products of ticket holders or even physical injury to ticket holders themselves. Accordingly, the purchase of a ticket and/or entry into the Venue implies acceptance of such risks and a waiver of any claim against the Promoter for compensation in connection therewith.

13. Entry into the Venue with jerry cans, bottles, cans, glass cups or any kind of alcoholic beverages is not permitted, under penalty of such items being confiscated. Chairs, tables or picnic equipment may only be taken into the camping area and not into the remaining Festival area. It is expressly prohibited to leave any picnic or camping materials or equipment within the Venue after the Festival has ended. The Promoter expressly asks ticket holders to cooperate in protecting the natural environment on the property and to help minimise the impact of the event on nature. Water and non-alcoholic beverages, in stainless steel bottles with intact seals, as well as food products, shall be permitted in the Festival area.

14. An absolute prohibition on the lighting of flames, with the exception of the use of a lighter by smokers to light cigarettes, shall apply throughout the Festival. Accordingly, no type of flame, fire or bonfire, candle or gas stove is permitted. The property where the Festival takes place, as well as the region as a whole, is subject to a high risk of fire. The Promoter expressly asks all ticket holders to assist in this regard.

15. Official merchandise, food products, meals, beverages and other goods or products shall be available for purchase from authorised suppliers/retailers, who shall be identifiable within the Venue. The provision of such goods or products, as well as their sale by unauthorised persons, is expressly prohibited, and offenders shall be subject to the seizure of the goods or products they make available and shall also be required to leave the Festival Venue.

16. Photographic, video or audio recording of the Boom Festival for commercial purposes is prohibited. The possession and use of drones is also prohibited. Above all, the capturing of images or recording of videos, by any means and for any purpose, without the prior and express consent of all persons concerned, is prohibited. Failure to comply with this rule shall result in mandatory expulsion from the Venue. The objective of the Festival organisation is to provide and ensure a physical space in which people feel safe. This purpose represents some of the fundamental principles of Boom Festival. Respect this community.

17. Ticket holders accept that they may be included (their image and voice) in photographs, videos, official communications or any media, of the Promoter, for the purpose of promoting the event and/or communicating with Festival participants and the general public.

18. Animals are not permitted at the site, except guide dogs for blind persons. This rule concerns the protection of animals, as their presence within the Venue may lead to dehydration or exposure to excessive noise, as well as contact with a dense crowd. The Promoter considers that animals should not be subjected to such risks.

19. Boom is a space of freedom. A space for free spirits, but also for those who uphold values such as peace, unity and love for the environment, music, culture and arts. Please respect your brothers and sisters and the nature around you. Be part of a positive and regenerative society. We Are One

 

WARNINGS:

A – In the event of any circumstances of force majeure — unforeseeable circumstances whose effects occur independently of the Promoter’s will, such as, but not limited to, wars, civil disturbances, orders issued by any administrative or police authorities, catastrophes or any other circumstances that result in the Festival not taking place — the Promoter shall be obliged to reschedule the event, and ticket holders may use the same tickets for admission to the rescheduled event. The purchase of a ticket constitutes acceptance of this rule and a waiver of any request for a refund of the ticket price.

B – Attendance at the Festival may involve exposure to high levels of sound pressure or decibels. Please bring hearing protection.
